Opinion (Op-Ed) Submission Policy at Transisi Energi Berkeadilan ID (TEB ID)

1. Purpose

Our opinion or op-ed page aims to serve as a space for public discussion on the issue of a just energy transition. We encourage contributions from diverse groups to share their opinions, thoughts, analyses, and perspectives on this issue.

2. Submission Criteria

Op-eds must meet the following criteria:

• Be original work that has not been published elsewhere (including personal blogs).

• Use proper, clear, and respectful Indonesian, in accordance with EYD (Improved Spelling Rules).

• The piece should use simple language that is easily understood by the general public. Technical terms must be accompanied by explanations.

• Manuscript Length: 600–1,000 words.

• Preference will be given to pieces relevant to the issue of a just energy transition, including policy, finance, workers’ rights, communities, critical minerals, and climate change.

• Authors must include their real names and affiliations/institutions, if applicable. Anonymous submissions, including pseudonyms, will not be considered, except under special circumstances specifically discussed with the editorial board.

• Authors are required to cite sources via hyperlinks. A bibliography or footnotes are not required.

• Authors may use unpublished or pending references as long as they cite the publishing institution.

• Authors are prohibited from using AI to create their articles.

• Authors are encouraged to include relevant infographics from credible sources.

• Authors may include high-resolution photos under a public domain or Creative Commons license, or photos with a copyright license whose use has been approved by the copyright holder.

3. Editorial Process

Selection:
The editorial board reserves the right to select manuscripts based on relevance, quality, and alignment with the editorial board’s values.

Editing:
The editorial board may edit manuscripts for stylistic reasons, clarity, or length, without altering the main substance.

Authors have the right to review the final draft and give their approval before publication.

Responsibility for Content:
The content of the article is the responsibility of the author. The views expressed in the article do not reflect the editorial stance, unless otherwise stated.

4. Submission and Response

Please include:

• Article title (with a brief description of the article).

• Author’s full name.

• Short biography (max. 50 words).

• Profile photo (optional).

The editorial team will confirm receipt within 3–5 business days. Only manuscripts that pass the selection process will be published.

5. Republishing and Copyright

After publication on TEB.ID, authors may republish their work on personal platforms by including a link or a note stating that the article was first published on TEB.ID.

Copyright remains with the author, but the editorial team holds the non-exclusive right to publish, distribute, and archive the article in both digital and print formats.
